Sandpiper Spa is committed to minimising the impact of its activities on the environment.

 

We do this by:

• Offsetting our Carbon Emissions with Ecologi, using their climate positive workforce subscription.  This money is invested into projects that remove more greenhouse gasses than our own carbon footprint puts in.  These carbon reduction projects are certified at the highest level by Gold Standard.

• We also pledge to plant a tree for every spa guest each month.  The trees are planted by The Eden Reforestation Projects. To view our current progress click here

• Minimising our waste by regularly evaluating operations and ensuring they are as efficient as possible.

 

• Actively promoting recycling both internally and amongst our guests.

 

• Sourcing product ranges that minimise the environmental impact.  For example: 

  • all of our robes and towels are provided by Ecoknit, who use the most technically advanced, energy efficient, cotton terry towel in the world today. Ecoknit technology saves on laundry costs and time, helping the environment.

  • we use Purdy & Figg environmentally friendly and natural cleaning products wherever we can.

  • All our hair, face and body products provided in the changing area for your use, are in refillable containers and only use natural ingredients.

 

• Using energy efficient washers and dryers for all of our laundry.

• Using biodegradeable wet bags for costumes.

 

• Encouraging wildlife, bees, butterflies and insects into the garden and composting all of our garden waste
